Keane - We deserved win
Roy Keane feels Ipswich justified their Carling Cup quarter-final triumph with a solid performance against West Brom.
The Championship side, who currently sit 17th in the table after four straight defeats, shelved their league woes for the night at Portman Road to oust their Premier League visitors 1-0.
And Keane feels, with the display they produced, Town could have won by a greater scoreline.
"This performance was pretty good tonight, I have to say," said Keane. "It doesn't always guarantee you'll get the right result, but I thought we deserved it tonight.
"We should have won the game by three or four. Of course when it's one nil the game's never over.
"We had four or five great chances. Their keeper, to be fair, made some great saves. It took a penalty to win the game but I think we deserved that."
Keane admits the result eases some of the pressure on the Tractor Boys, and wants to see them mirror their strong display in the Championship.
Frustrating
"I'm pleased for the players, I'm pleased for the supporters. It's been a frustrating time for everyone at the club, but it's a good night for everyone," he said.
"What we have to do now is bring that into our league form. We'll enjoy tonight's result, but obviously our bread and butter is the Championship."
Ipswich have drawn a tough tie with Arsenal in the semi-finals, but Keane insists they will cross that bridge when they come to it.
He added: "We'll look forward to that when it comes. Obviously Arsenal are a top team.
"I think it's the toughest draw. West Ham and Birmingham will be delighted to have avoided Arsenal. I think every other team in the draw would have wanted ourselves.
"It'll be great education for our players, and our younger players."
